With Quill & Ink: November News & Updates
It's been a while since I last wrote a blog post, and I've said numerous times I'd get back into the swing of things. Unfortunately, life had different plans for me, so... Here I am. Again. Trying to get steady with my blog posts!
Life has been crazy hectic the past few months. I finished the first year of my Master, but decided to pause my second year a couple of weeks ago because the combination of work, kids, working out, school, and health wasn't working. At the start of September, I decided I needed to do better healthwise, and I've been going to my boxing company five days a week since. I started a three month program to lose weight, get fitter, and get stronger. Upcoming Tuesday is my last lesson (but I am continuing with what I'm doing). I lost weight, although not as much as I would like. I got fitter, and I am definitely getting stronger! I can do burpees AND push-ups now. I also finally understand what Tal has been putting Shal through all this time.
We also had renovations going on in August and September. With the new floor, the new kitchen, and my green wall (yes, my husband succumbed. Story for later!), it looks so unlike what it was and so much more like our style. I absolutely love it. And the floor heating? Just brilliant! We're still waiting for the solar panels, but some of the items are hard to come by, so... we're still waiting.
What am I currently working on?
I am still working on book 4, but now, there's actually an end in sight. The process is going steadily, and my goal is to publish it somewhere in the first quarter of 2023. I'm incredibly excited to share it with you. It will have all your favourite characters, and some of the things I have been hinting at will happen. It will also be the last book in the current arc of this series, so we will have to say goodbye to some of our favourite characters. But, don't worry. They might not be gone forever!
I nother news... Last week, I received the cover for the book, and it is absolutely amazing. It has a title, but I won't be sharing it just yet! All I can say is that www.originalbookcoverdesigns.com outdid themselves once again, and I am excited to show you.
What am I watching?
Last time I checked in with you, I was watching Chicago Fire. Well... I'm watching again, but this time, I finally get to watch Season 10! Since I cannot get the channel where CF is streamed in the US and elsewhere, I have to wait for the DVDs to release here.
What am I reading?
I've been in a bit of a slump lately. I started reading the third book in the Inheritance Games, and while I absolutely loved the first two books (read both of them in two days), I had some trouble getting into
this one, but that might also have had to do with the fact I haven't actually sat down to read.
The other book I started is 'Good girl complex' by Elle Kennedy. So far, it's really enjoyable, but again, I am not sitting down to read. Mostly because I am sitting down for writing.
